ASTM Grade 2 Titanium (UNS R50400) is an unalloyed titanium grade, often called the “workhorse” of commercially pure titanium due to its versatility, wide availability, and balanced properties. It combines moderate strength with excellent ductility, formability, and weldability, along with high corrosion resistance in oxidizing, neutral, and mildly reducing environments (including chlorides).
Key Trait: Slightly stronger than Grade 1, making it suitable for diverse industrial applications requiring a mix of formability and durability.

Applications
Widely used across industries for its corrosion resistance and formability:
Chemical processing (valves, fittings, clad plate).
Marine and offshore equipment (resists saltwater corrosion).
