MIG & TIG Welding for Titanium & Special Metal Assemblies
LuminaTitan provides drawing-based MIG and TIG welding services for titanium and special metal components. We support overseas OEM buyers who need reliable welded parts in corrosion-resistant and high-performance alloys without building in-house welding capacity.
Service Overview
All welding is carried out according to your drawings, welding notes, and project requirements. Parts can be supplied as:
- Welded brackets, frames, rings, flanges, and supports
- Welded assemblies combined with machined, cut, or formed components
- Small batches, samples, and project quantities suitable for technical and project-based purchasing
(We focus on practical, manufacturable weld solutions rather than generic catalogue items.)
MIG & TIG Welding Capabilities
TIG Welding (GTAW)
- Suitable for titanium, zirconium, nickel alloys, stainless steels and thin sections
- Stable arc control for clean, precise beads and minimal spatter
- Ideal for visible welds, sealing surfaces, and parts used in chemical, marine, and electrochemical environments
MIG Welding (GMAW)
- Practical option for suitable steels and selected alloys where higher deposition rates are required
- Supports structural frames, fixtures and non-critical housings where productivity is a priority
Process recommendations (MIG vs TIG, joint form, backing, etc.) are aligned with your material, thickness and application during the quotation stage.
Materials & Typical Components
On request and per project, welding services can be applied to:
- Titanium & titanium alloys (e.g. Gr2, Gr5, Gr7, Gr12, Gr23)
- Zirconium, tantalum, niobium (for specified joint designs)
- Stainless steel and nickel alloys (by agreement)
- Dissimilar joints in selected combinations, discussed case-by-case
Typical welded parts include:
- Electrochemical & chemical equipment parts: anode frames, cell covers, manifolds, pipe branches
- Marine & offshore hardware: brackets, supports, guards in corrosion-resistant grades
- Process & instrumentation: mounting plates, housings, adapter flanges
- Project/OEM builds: custom welded details based on your 2D/3D drawings
Quality & Inspection
According to order requirements, LuminaTitan can provide:
- Visual inspection of all weld seams (profile, undercut, porosity, continuity)
- Dimensional checks of critical lengths, hole locations, and flange faces
- Basic leak or fit-up checks for agreed joints
- Material traceability for LuminaTitan-supplied metals; MTC EN 10204 3.1 available on request
For more critical applications, additional inspection (e.g. dye penetrant, simple NDT, weld documentation) can be discussed and defined before order confirmation.
Integrated Fabrication Support
Welding can be combined with:
- Waterjet / saw cutting, basic machining or drilling
- Simple forming and preparation for final machining at your facility
- Marking and packing by part number, drawing or project reference for easy receiving
This helps overseas buyers receive near-ready assemblies from a single source, reducing coordination and preparation work.
