Waterjet Cutting for Titanium & Special Alloys
LuminaTitan provides waterjet cutting services for titanium and other special alloys based on your drawings and size requirements. Cold cutting (no heat-affected zone) helps maintain base material properties for parts used in chemical equipment, marine environments, electrochemical systems, and precision assemblies.
Why Choose Waterjet Cutting
Cold Cutting – No HAZ
Abrasive waterjet cutting does not introduce thermal distortion or microstructural change. This is suitable for materials where strength, corrosion resistance, or later welding performance must be preserved.
Drawing-Based Accuracy
Profiles are cut directly from your CAD/PDF files so that overall shape, hole positions and outlines follow your design. Practical tolerances are confirmed at quotation stage according to thickness, material and geometry to ensure realistic, achievable offers.
Clean Edges for Further Processing
Waterjet edges are suitable for follow-up machining, drilling, tapping, or welding. Burrs and taper are controlled to a practical level for industrial use; critical edge or finish requirements can be discussed in advance.
Materials & Cutting Scope
Waterjet cutting can be applied to:
- Titanium & titanium alloys (Gr1, Gr2, Gr5, Gr7, Gr9, Gr23)
- Zirconium, tantalum, niobium
- Stainless steels and selected nickel alloys
- Aluminum, copper, brass and other engineering metals (on request)
Typical parts include plates, brackets, flanges, support frames, rings, mounting panels, and custom shapes where laser/thermal cutting is not preferred.
Waterjet can also be used for near-net shapes from plate to reduce machining time on high-value alloys.
Service Features
Flexible Quantities
Suitable for samples, project trial parts and batch orders—no mandatory large MOQ, convenient for overseas buyers and project purchasing.
Use with Customer or Supplied Material
Parts can be cut from LuminaTitan-supplied material (with MTC EN 10204 3.1 if requested) or from specified materials by agreement.
Efficient Nesting
Profiles can be nested according to your DXF/STEP to help reduce scrap on expensive materials such as titanium, zirconium or nickel alloys.
Packing & Identification
Cut parts can be packed flat, separated with protective film or paper, and labeled by grade, thickness, part number and PO for straightforward receiving and assembly.
Typical Applications
- Chemical & electrochemical: titanium and special alloy plates/rings for anodes, cells, manifolds and covers
- Marine & offshore: corrosion-resistant panels, brackets and reinforcement parts
- Process equipment & machinery: mounting plates, adapter rings, flow plates, protective shields
- High-value alloy components: near-net blanks to reduce CNC time and material loss
