Tantalum Wire

Key Advantages

  • Precision customization: Diameter 0.1–5.0 mm (typ. tolerance ±0.05 mm), annealed / cold drawn, multiple surface finishes; small-batch sampling supported.

  • Corrosion & biocompatibility: Excellent stability in hydrochloric, nitric acids and aqua regia, plus biocompatibility for medical use (final device approval by buyer).

  • High-temperature performance: High melting point and good strength retention for cyclic thermal loads.

  • Controlled purity: Strict tensile and chemical testing with low impurity levels for reliable performance in harsh and high-purity environments.

Primary Applications

  • Electronics: Capacitor anodic leads, rectifier components, fine conductors.

  • Medical: Surgical sutures, markers and components requiring biocompatibility.

  • Chemical processing: Corrosion-resistant wire components for aggressive media.

Testing (Typical)

  • Tensile testing

  • Chemical composition verification

  • Surface inspection (smoothness, defects)

  • Metallographic examination (microstructure uniformity)

Heat Treatment Guidelines

  • Recrystallization temperature: approx. 900–1450°C

  • Use vacuum or dry inert gas atmospheres

  • All lubricants must be thoroughly removed prior to heat treatment to avoid embrittlement

Packaging & Delivery

  • Packaging: Protective spools or coils in custom cases to prevent tangling and surface damage.

  • Shipping: Global courier or sea freight; lead times coordinated with your production schedule.
